A Perfect Girls Getaway Weekend In Nashville, Tennesse

Enjoy a girls getaway weekend in Nashville, Tennessee. What you need to know from food, music, and more.

Whether you’re touring the U.S. or you need a getaway with your girlfriends, Nashville makes a perfect destination for foodies, music lovers, and more. You can get a taste of everything the city has to offer with a girls weekend in Nashville.

Head to Nashville for a chance to explore all the city has to offer with your best friends, sister or a new travel buddy. As much as the city is hyped up, it is still likely to beat your expectations.

First and foremost the live music

Welcome to music city. Whether you love country music, folk, pop, or rock, you’ll come across countless acts to enjoy. Start with wandering around Broadway where you’ll find cover bands playing many of your favorite hits.

Don’t forget to look into some of the cities classic venues, check out the Grand Ole Opry, the Ryman Auditorium, and the Bluebird Cafe. You’ll want to get tickets early for any show you want to see at the Ryman or the Opry. The Bluebird is mostly a first come, first serve situation, so be ready to spend a few hours standing outside for the show. If that’s not your style find one of the countless singer/songwriter showcases around the city at spots like the Listening Room and others.

Get outside the city and explore

Downtown Nashville has plenty to offer but the region has much more to explore. Consider heading out to the Grand Ole’ Opry and exploring Opry Land a massive hotel that makes you feel like you’re in Nashville, Disneyland, and Las Vegas all at the same time. Or pop into the nearby town of Franklin to wander the historic streets for cute boutiques and delicious spots to eat. If whiskey is your thing, take a day trip out to Jack Daniels and tour their distillery.

Let your foodie out

You will leave Nashville with a few more pounds than you came there with but don’t worry it’s worth it. Nashville is the perfect place to explore with your fellow foodie girlfriends. To get the most of the city you’ll want to share some meals, otherwise, the portions will leave you full enough to skip a meal or two.

A few must haves are Nashville hot chicken from spots like Hattie B’s or Biscuit Love, and BBQ with favorites such as Peg Leg Porker & Jack’s BBQ. It’s hard to pick just a few spots to eat during your weekend in Nashville but you can find a few more favorite spots to eat in Nashville.

Stay in the heart of Nashville

Nashville is a vibrant city but there are also parts of town that you and your girlfriends might not want to stay in. While much of the city has cleaned up its act you still want to be aware of safety when you’re booking a place to stay. The Gulch was one of my favorite areas to visit and would have loved to stay there. It’s a short walk to Downtown, Music Row, and more.

Dance your nights away

If you’re looking for a destination for a girls night on the town Nashville is the spot for you. Start the night out at Pinewood Social where you can enjoy craft cocktails and tasty food, all while bowling or playing a round of bocce ball. Then head down to Broadway where you can wander from spot to spot dancing along with live music in just about any spot on the strip.
